Capitol releases more barangay projects

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the distribution of checks for barangay projects worth a total of P5.7 million on Tuesday.

The beneficiaries were barangays Abo-abo, Murcia; barangays XXI, XVI and XX in Victorias City; Brgy. Zone 1, Talisay City; Brgy. Patag, Silay City; barangays Pacol, Bayabas, Central Tabao, and Guintorilan in Valladolid; Brgy. Poblacion, San Enrique; barangays Camp Clark, Panaquiao, 9 – Poblacion, and 6 – Poblacion of Isabela; Brgy. Manalad, Ilog; Brgy. Caliling, Cauayan; and barangays Zone 1 and Luna in Cadiz City.

Each of the 19 barangays received P300,000 for projects, namely, renovation of barangay halls, construction of perimeter fences, rehabilitation of drainage systems, acquisition of multipurpose vehicles, concreting of double lane pavement, construction of health center, and installation of barangay streetlights.

The checks were personally received by the punong barangays and authorized representatives of respective local government unit./WDJ
