Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director has ordered the crime laboratory to closely investigate the P13.5 million drug haul earlier this week in San Carlos City.

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office director, Police Colonel Romy Palgue, believes that the three massive drug hauls in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City, Negros Oriental’s Sibulan town and Cebu City are connected, since in all three cases the illegal drugs were all similarly packaged on Chinese tea bags. NOPPO director, Police Colonel Romy Palgue, said yesterday that he wants a purity test be made on the seized drugs and he would ask for a copy of the laboratory findings from the other drug hauls in Cebu City and in Negros Oriental’s Sibulan town.

Palgue strongly believes the three massive drug hauls are connected, since in all three cases they were all similarly packaged on Chinese tea bags.

The NOPPO director said the results of the purity tests will help them pinpoint as to where the drugs actually originated.

“We already have information as to where the drugs originated, however, we would need to confirm this information via purity test,” he added.

Around P27.6 million worth of suspected shabu were seized following two separate anti-drug operations last Monday in San Carlos City and the town of Sibulan.

Last Sunday, police also seized P47.6 million worth of suspected shabu in Cebu City, wherein it was found that the illegal drugs had also originated from San Carlos City./DGB, WDJ
