A man was found dead last Friday morning in a fish pond near his nipa hut at Bangga Tap-ok in Binalbagan town’s Barangay Enclaro.

Authorities identified the victim as 54-year-old Pio Rico, Jr., a resident of the said place.

Police investigations revealed that the victim had a drinking spree with his brother Noel Rico the night before he was found dead. He was drunk and was believed to have drowned in the fish pond.

Officers of the Binalbagan Police Station said the victim’s body was brought to a local mortuary for a “post-mortem” examination./WDJ
