Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has resolved various administrative cases of 160 police officers from January to September 16, 2020.
PRO-6 regional director, Police Brigadier General Rene P. Pamuspusan, ordered for the swift resolution of all pending administrative cases of policemen in Western Visayas as part of the intensified internal cleansing of the Philippine National Police (PNP), wherein personnel who are found liable for offenses are meted penalty.
From 160 police officers involved, 118 were penalized while 42 were exonerated.
Of the 118 police officers penalized, 29 were dismissed from the service, three were demoted from their present ranks, 75 were suspended, two were meted salary forfeiture, and nine were reprimanded.
Moreover, of the 160 police officers with administrative cases, eight were police commissioned officers and 152 were all police non-commissioned officers.
“We will be more stringent in our campaign on internal cleansing. Violators have no place in the organization,” Pamuspusan said./WDJ
