A man was arrested Wednesday night following a buy-bust at Sitio Kawayanan in La Carlota City’s Barangay Batuan. Authorities identified the arrested as 34-year old Archie Porquez of the said neighborhood.

Following a subsequent search, police confiscated six sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately one gram and valued around P5,500, a motorcycle, and other drug paraphernalia.

The suspect is currently detained at the La Carlota City Police Station and charged in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
