US Embassy suspends visa services

Amid ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, along with the enhanced community quarantine declared over Luzon, the US Embassy in Manila recently announced visa services have been suspended.

“All visa appointments have been postponed pending further notice,” the embassy announced on social media.

The embassy noted, staff was reduced greatly with the American Citizen Services Unit still active to assist American citizens in the Philippines but “non-essential services” are suspended.

“Please do not attempt to travel to the embassy,” they recommended./WDJ
