The Negros Occidental provincial government announced they will be working with a skeleton crew, or a minimal number of personnel, in an effort to reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19. In addition, provincial government employees have been encountering delays coming in and out of Bacolod City due to ongoing border controls.
Provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, said government departments are currently planning out shifts for their respective staff.
“We want employees to take some rest and prepare themselves against Covid-19,” the provincial official explained.
He said, once plans are set, they will be presented to Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson for approval.
Earlier, Lacson said they discussed the possibility of a four-day work week but that he preferred reducing working hours./DGB, WDJ
