Eight nabbed in Sum-ag
Following the implementation of a curfew in Bacolod City from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. in an effort to combat the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported a fairly uneventful first night with BCPO spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, saying they did not record any significant incidents.
He noted, a majority of city residents complied and stayed in their homes.
However, police nabbed eight individuals in Barangay Sum-ag after they were caught drinking in the streets. The group was brought to the local police station and were released around 4:00 a.m., when the curfew ended.
Based on the city’s quarantine rules and regulations, the only exempted individuals allowed to move around the city during curfew hours are medical personnel, night-shift workers, public utility personnel, rescue personnel, religious ministers performing last sacraments, and public utility vehicle drivers./DGB, WDJ
