The Philam Vitality Kampeon Cup, which was scheduled to take place this weekend at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex in Talisay City, Cebu, was postponed due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19.

“Due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding the wide spread of Covid-19 in the country, the 7s Football League is announcing the rescheduling of [the] Kampeon Cup to a later date,” explained league founder Anton del Rosario. “The safety of our players, team staff and officials, and fans is always paramount [and] it is our responsibility to see to it that the well-being of everyone involved in the league is considered.”

The Bacolod Monte Dons and Iloilo Ilustrados were expected to participate in the competition./ASC, WDJ
