A man was shot dead over the weekend in Lambunao’s Barangay Maribong. Authorities identified the fatality as Gilbert Lavente, who died from gunshot wounds to his right foot and neck.
According to police, he was involved in an altercation with the suspect, identified as Jethro Palma, after the two were drinking at Lavente’s home. The two were reportedly involved in a heated argument, which was eventually pacified. However, the suspect visited his home to retrieve a 12-gauge shotgun and returned to shoot the victim.
He then reportedly fled towards an unknown direction.
Police are currently conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect/WDJ
