Fajardo earns MVP six-peat

San Miguel Beermen center June Mar Fajardo, who is currently sidelined with an injury, earned his sixth consecutive MVP award during last night’s 2019 PBA Leo Awards at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
In addition to being named MVP, he was also named to the 2019 First Mythical Selection Team and All-Defensive Team.
Fajardo is potentially out for the entirety of 2020 after fracturing his right tibia.
Meanwhile, the Columbian Dyip’s Jaymar Perez was named Rookie of the Year.
Among other honors, Moala Tautuaa of the Beermen was named Most Improved Player and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters’ Gabe Norwood won the Sportsmanship Award for the third straight year./ASC, WDJ
