Manila Southwoods reclaims title

Manila Southwoods reclaimed the 73rd Philippine Airlines Interclub Golf Tournament over the weekend at the Bacolod Golf and Country Club at Hacienda Binitin in Murcia.
“I’m just so happy that the boys responded the way they did,” said non-playing Southwoods team captain Thirdy Escano. “We were really expecting to win.”
“What made it doubly joyful was how the players bounced back today,” he added.
Southwoods finished with 504 points, ahead of the Luisita Golf and Country Club’s 482, and the Del Monte Golf Club finishing with 456.
Yuto Katsuragawa led the comeback with 39 points, followed by Aguri Iwasaki contributing 36.
Meanwhile, the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club won the Founders division, Manila Golf & Country Club took the Aviator division, Guinhalaran Golf – Sportswriters division, Britanikka Golf Team – Friendship division.
