The Iloilo City Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) recently revealed business registrations rose by 5.5 percent between 2019 and last year. A total of 16,391 business permits were issued last year, up from the 15.558 the previous year.
“We created Business One-Stop Shop, or BOSS, for the clients’ convenience wherein they can process, submit, pay, and claim their permits in one place,” explained BPLO head Norman Tabud. “We were able to streamline the processing of business permits.”
“We only have three steps—submit, pay, and claim your business permits,” he added.
This year, 804 applications for new businesses were filed last month./WDJ
