Negrense forward Joe Devance is set to miss the early portion of the upcoming 2020 PBA Philippine Cup as he is scheduled to undergo a stem cell procedure in Germany.
“I’m getting four shots and [have to sit out] three weeks,” the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel player explained. “I take pain relievers every day just to practice; it’s just the reality.”
“I first started when I was younger-small pain relievers,” he added. “Then it moved up to two and then three.”
Devance recently inked a one-year contract extension with Barangay Ginebra.
Meanwhile, the PBA team offered rookie contracts to Arvin Tolentino and Jerrick Balanza, in addition to guard Kent Salado set to ink a deal at the end of Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
