Tay Tung athletes win at San Carlos City athletics event

Bacolod Tay Tung High School athletes won at the Negros First Monthly Athletics Championships recently at the Ramon Magsaysay Elementary School oval in San Carlos City.
Dona de Leon won gold in the youth division 200-meter dash, high jump, and triple jump; Antonette Jay Aguillon won the seniors 200-meter event, along with a silver in the seniors triple jump; Maryal Siglos won the kids division 1,500-meter event and earned silver in the kids 200-meter events; and Klyde Montalbo won the 2,000-meter walk in the senior division.
Other medal winners included Stephany Malate taking silver in the seniors shot put; Bianca Seroy won silver medals in the youth division 200-meter dash and triple jump; Shaltea Delotavo captured bronze in the youth division 200-meter dash; and April Dealagnon won bronze in the youth 1,500-meter event.
“Hard work has paid off for these young girls,” said Tay Tung assistant coach Leigh Dano. “As a coach, I am hoping that they will continue to work hard in practice for them to achieve their goal.”/ASC, WDJ
