Police shoot bolo-wielding man in Leon

Police shot a man wielding a bolo over the weekend in Leon’s Barangay Agboy. Authorities identified the fatality as 59-year-old Jimmy Antipatia of Oton’s Barangay Cadingalian.
Police responded to a report claiming Antipatia was harassing local residents while armed with a bolo. Upon arrival, Police Senior Master Sergeant Jay Cababasay tried to disarm him but the suspect responded by trying to slash the police officer.
Law enforcement responded by shooting the suspect in the shoulder. When he continued to provoke police, he was shot again in the foot.
Antipatia is currently confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center./WDJ
