The remains of a man were found Sunday morning at Sitio Catilingban in Kabankalan City’s Barangay Orong. Authorities identified the fatality as 31-year-old Joemar Villa Torres, a resident of the said neighborhood.
Local residents said the man in question was said to be intoxicated the night before and fell asleep beside a canal. It is believed he died after soil collapsed on top of him.
Villa Torres was eventually brought to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital where he was declared dead-on-arrival./WDJ
