STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) standout Aldave Dale Canoy recently announced his commitment to the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
“Canoy agreed to transfer to UST,” UST head coach Aldin Ayo affirmed. “Since he has played for one year with STI-WNU, he must sit out one year and will be good to go for us in UAAP Season 84.”
“Canoy is a welcome addition to the Growling Tigers as he plays like [Rhenz Abando] but we will convert him to shooting guard,” he added. “I already saw his talent when he was still in high school in Bacolod City.”
Meanwhile, the Bacolodnon player expressed his excitement to joining UST.
“I am very much excited to play for UST,” Canoy said. “I wanted to transfer there when I am still in high school.”
“Good thing Coach Aldin’s offer was still there now that I am now ready to move to Manila,” he added.
