Iloilo out

The Iloilo United Royals were eliminated from the 2019/2020 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup after losing 70-63 to the Basilan Steel earlier this week at the Lamitan City gymnasium in Basilan.
The score was tied 63-63 with two minutes left after Al Francis Tamsi scored a three-pointer for Iloilo; however, Allyn Bulanadi delivered a layup and three-point conversion for Basilan, putting them up 68-63 before Jessie Collado sealed the win with two free throws.
Collado finished with a double-double for Basilan on 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Jhaps Bautista added 11 points, and Bulanadi chipped in 10
Despite the loss, Tamsi led Iloilo with 16 points, including four outside conversions; while Richard Escoto contributed 12 markers.
Meanwhile, the Bacoor City Strikers advanced to the Southern Division semifinals following their 69-60 triumph over the GenSan Warriors.
Oping Sumalinog spearheaded the attack for Bacoor with 16 points on three triples, along with three rebounds and four blocks; while Demusis added 11 points and four boards; and Gab Banal contributed nine points, seven assists, three rebounds, and two steals./ASC, WDJ
