At least P1.4 million worth of valuables were stolen last Wednesday after robbers burglarized the home owned by the brother of City Councilor Bart Orola and former City Administrator John Orola at the Gardenville Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub. Authorities identified the homeowner as Carlitos Orola.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, said, based on initial inspections conducted by scene of the crime operatives, the still-unidentified suspects rang the doorbell and, when the house helper opened the gate, the suspects pointed a firearm at the helper. They subsequently hogtied the helper with a charger cord and proceeded to ransack the house.
Pico said the suspects carted away with assorted bags and jewelry worth at least P1.4 million.
