A man was arrested last Wednesday at Sitio Dubdub in Himamaylan City’s Barangay Libacao for possession of drugs and bullets. Authorities identified the arrested suspect as 48-year-old Joemedes Cordero of the said neighborhood.
According to police, 10 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in buy-bust money, P350 in cash proceeds, drug paraphernalia, a mobile phone, along with live and empty bullets for a .45 caliber firearm were confiscated from the suspect.
Cordero is currently detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station and charged in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./WDJ
