An aim towards carbon neutrality

During the recent SustainAGIlity Summit at Hilton Manila, Alliance Global Group Inc. chairman, Dr. Andrew Tan, announced plans to create five million jobs by 2030 while remaining carbon neutral. The firm, which currently employs over 80,000 revealed their subsidiary, brandy producer Emperador Inc., will pursue technology to save water and reduce emissions.
In addition, the firm also plans on committing to the use of renewable energy, particularly biomass and solar power.
Meanwhile, property development subsidiaries Empire East Land Holdings Inc., Global Estate Resorts Inc., and Suntrust Properties Inc. continue to construct sustainable townships and communities that utilize renewable energy, along with promoting “plastic neutrality”.
The firm also owns the Golden Arches Development Corporation, which operates McDonald’s Philippines. The fast food chain uses reusable cutlery and packaging; minimized plastics through the introduction of paper bags, straws, and lids; installing solar rooftops; constructing stores with eco-bricks; and reinforcing a waste segregation system.
Among the vast array of industries, job opportunities include farming, casino and hotel operations, and fast food service crew.
