The TNT KaTropa boosted their roster ahead of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup, which begins next month, after acquiring John Paul Erram from the NLEX Road Warriors and renewing Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.’s contract.
The deal for Erram, which is still pending PBA Commissioner’s Office approval, was formalized earlier this week in a three-team arrangement. KaTropa center Marion Magat, along with a future first round draft pick, were offered to Blackwater Elite; Blackwater Elite small forward Anthony Semerad and two future first round draft picks were extended to NLEX; and, in exchange for Erram, TNT provided Eduardo Daquioag and a future draft pick to the Road Warriors.
Meanwhile, KaTropa team manager Gabby Cui said Parks agreed to a one-year contract extension but affirmed he would not be available for the Philippine men’s national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas, in the upcoming 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers./ASC, WDJ
