Four arrested in San Carlos City bust

Four individuals were arrested Monday afternoon following a buy-bust operation at San Juan Tunga in San Carlos City’s Barangay 5. Authorities identified the arrested suspects as 46-year-old Edzel Valencia of the said neighborhood, 31-year-old Concepcion Mahinay of the city’s Barangay Rizal, 40-year-old Rey Requiron of the city’s Barangay Guadalupe, and 26-year-old Reynald Apostol of the city’s Barangay 4.
According to San Carlos City Police Station deputy chief, Police Major Mark Angelo Junco, law enforcement officials confiscated seven heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, which weighed eight grams and was valued around P36,000; along with additional drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are detained at the San Carlos City Police Station and charged  in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, last week, two individuals were arrested for illegal drugs  along Ylagan Extension in San Carlos City’s Barangay 6. Authorities identified the suspects as 27-year-old Nel Nel Cabatuan and 18-year-old Kyle Isley Rizal, both of the said neighborhood.
Jungco led the operation where the younger dealer received P300 in buy-bust money in exchange for one heat-sealed sachet of shabu.
Following their arrest, police confiscated cash proceeds amounting to P340, a mobile phone, and drug paraphernalia; while another mobile phone was seized from Cabatuan.
The pair were detained at the San Carlos City Police Station and faced similar charges./WDJ
