Following the exit of point guard Evan Nelle, who swapped San Beda University for De La Salle University, Bacolodnon guard Ralph Penuela is set to join the Red Lions in the upcoming 96th NCAA men’s basketball season.
“Ralph Penuela is a veteran guard who would have played for us last season if not for academic woes,” explained San Beda team manager Jude Roque. “He is good to go this year and we are expecting him to make an immediate impact.”
Over the weekend, in the ongoing 2020 Philippine Collegiate Champions League, the Bacolodnon player scored 16 points for San Beda in their 76-53 win over Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
