According to Bacolod City Health Office records provided yesterday, one patient remains under investigation for the 2019 novel coronavirus (nCoV) in the city and is confined at an undisclosed hospital. Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, chairman of the Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force Against the Novel Coronavirus, confirmed there were a total eight patients under investigation recorded at several hospitals.
He noted, seven were discharged following confirmatory test results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine showing they were negative for nCoV.
Familiaran explained, the last person had a medical checkup Monday afternoon and was classified as a “person under monitoring (PUM).”
“In fact, after reassessment and reevaluation by our infectious consultants, the patient was sent home as PUM,” he added.
Earlier on Monday, CHO announced four patients will be discharged after testing negative for nCoV. However, the four were advised to stay home as part of a required 14-day quarantine./DGB, WDJ
