The remains of a woman were found Wednesday afternoon in an irrigation canal in Bago City’s Barangay Atipuluhan. Police have yet to identify the fatality, who they described as half-naked, wearing pedal shorts and shoes.
Based on investigations carried out by the Bago City police, a resident living nearby found the remains although they initially mistook the body for an animal carcass. After closer inspection, they contacted authorities after they realized it was human remains.
Bago City police did not recover any documents that would identify the victim but they found a red shirt being held by the victim.
The remains are presently undergoing an autopsy./DGB, WDJ
