A farmer was stabbed and killed last Tuesday at Sitio Cabaong-baongan in San Carlos City’s Barangay Prosperidad. Authorities identified the fatality as 56-year-old Estelito Saylo-on of the said neighborhood.

According to police, the victim was reportedly stabbed by brothers, 50-year-old Daniel Embalsado and 38-year-old Rubin Embalsado, who are also farmers and residents of the said area.

Law enforcement officials believe Saylo-on was ambushed by the pair, who fled following the incident.
