Remains found in Himamaylan City Public Plaza

The remains of a man were found over the weekend in the Himamaylan City Public Plaza. Authorities identified the fatality as 37-year-old Joel Ban Arroyo, a resident of Monton Street in the city’s Barangay 2.
Police say the victim, whose remains were found with gunshot wounds to the face, was in the plaza using the free public Wi-Fi.
Law enforcement recovered 12 empty shells from a .45 caliber firearm from the crime scene, along with a cell phone, earphone and charge, red bull cap, and a black wallet containing identification and cash in different denominations totaling P1, 906.50.
The remains were brought to Funeraria Felcu for an autopsy.
Police continue to investigate the incident./WDJ
