2020 WVPRISAA Meet underway in Capiz

The 2020 Western Visayas Private Schools’ Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet kicked off last Friday at Colegio de la Purisima Concepción in Roxas City, Capiz. Around 1,500 delegate-athletes, coaches, and other officials will be taking part in the regional competition.
“This event will be more memorable because of the support extended by the Capiz provincial government and Roxas City government ensuring the security and safety of the delegates and, at the same time, extending Capiznon warmth and hospitality,” said Colegio de la Purisima Concepción rector, Rev. Msgr. Cyril B. Villareal.
Fifteen sporting events will be contested including athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, billiards, chess, dancesport, football, karatedo, lawn tennis, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and volleyball.
Meanwhile, the WVPRISAA Meet will also include oration, “prisayawan,” vocal solo, vocal duet, along with Mutya sang WVPRISAA.
The winners will represent the region at the National PRISAA, which is scheduled to take place from April 18 to 24 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan./ASC, WDJ
