Following the revelation of delayed payments on three to four-month-old requests, Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, who is currently serving as acting governor, said he supports a probe, or an internal audit, into alleged delays in payment procedures within the provincial government.
“We want to find out and trace [those] who are not performing their jobs well, who are the concerned employees, and the offices that caused the delay,” the provincial official said.
Ferrer pointed out, non-performing employees should be relieved from their post and replaced with efficient employees.
“Tolerating such work attitudes would be disadvantageous to the province,” the acting governor added.
He also revealed, there is a certain supplier that has already been discouraged from bidding due to past payment delays./DGB, WDJ
