‘Dagyang sa Kapitolyo’ begins next week

The Iloilo provincial government will begin their Dagyang sa Kapitolyo event on Monday, January 20. Opening night will feature the lighting ceremony for the Dinagyang Lights at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
“Dagyang sa Kapitolyo is open for everybody,” said Provincial administrator, Atty. Suzette Mamon. “We see to it that if they visit the Capitol, there are activities prepared for them.”
The event runs throughout the week and ends on January 26.
Billed as the provincial government’s “Dinagyang Festival,” those in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in trade exhibits featuring local products, observe art produced by local artists, enjoy performances by local bands, Zumba, and get “tattoo paintings.”/WDJ
