A resident of the town’s Barangay Marcelo was hacked dead around 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Sitio Huebesan of the said barangay.

Jemril Sagrado Gonzaga, 33, of Sitio Ulonganon of the place, left the house of a certain Jaime Inostacion drunk after attending a birthday party. The victim was homebound when the crime happened.

Police are yet to identify the suspect but report said that a certain alias “Tokyo Fernando” helped the victim when he fell down to the road due to drunkenness.

Gonzaga’s body was later found the next morning, January 4, with hack wounds on his neck.

Police are investigating the incident and will invite alias “Tokyo Fernando” to shed light on the killing./WDJ
