The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) revealed a total P72 million worth of shabu was recovered in the city last year. Based on records released by BCPO spokesperson, Police Lt. Colonel Ariel Pico, they confiscated a total of 6,083.026 grams of shabu in 2019.
In 2018, a total 2,824.898 grams was seized by local law enforcement, which was valued at P33.8 million.
Pico also revealed they have arrested 601 drug dealers, 340 drug users, and apprehended 20 minors involved in illegal drugs.
The arrests exceeded 2018 records, which saw the arrest of 445 dealers, 195 users, along with the apprehension of 16 minors.
Pico added, he is hoping to further surpass their anti-illegal drugs accomplishments this year./DGB, WDJ
