The PetroGazz Angels added three players to their roster ahead of the upcoming 2020 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference. Spikers Gretchel Soltones and Jerrili Malabanan, along with setter Ivy Perez, joined the team after their respective contracts with other teams expired on December 31.
“Soltones and Malabanan give us prime options [in the] key positions we [think] need improvement,” said an official for the team. “Grethcel has the pedigree to bring us to the next level.”
Meanwhile, Perez will be coming in to replace Djanel Cheng, who left for another team.
“We needed a setter who can block and has experience playing with imports,” the official added. “Perez is a good fit.”
The PetroGazz Angels are the defending reinforced conference champion after defeating the Creamline Cool Smashers in last year’s championship series./ASC, WDJ
