TNT, Meralco meet in semis decider

By Adrian Stewart Co

With their 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup semifinal series tied 2-2, the TNT KaTropa and Meralco Bolts meet this Monday, December 23, in Game 5 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City. Meralco tied up the series over the weekend, scoring a 95-83 win in Game 4.
Allen Durham spearheaded the win with 36 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists; while Baser Amer scored 12 points; and Chris Newsome contributed 10.
“Our defense really held up, unlike in Game 3 in the third quarter, when we gave up five three-point shots,” said Bolts head coach Norman Black. “That was one of the keys in our win in Game 4.”
The winner advances to the finals, where they will meet Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in a best-of-seven series beginning on January 8.
