Tañon College wins NBTC regional qualifying leg

Tañon College emerged as champions of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) San Carlos City regional qualifiers last Saturday after defeating Bagonbon National High School at the Barangay 6 Covered Court, pulling off a 63-41 win in Game 1 and taking Game 2, 89-52, later that same day.
Tañon College player John Paul Caballero emerged as “Most Valuable Player.”
The remaining NBTC legs in Silay City and Bacolod City are scheduled to take place next month.
NBTC-Region VI commissioner Richard Gabayoyo earlier told Watchmen Daily Journal, “We are still finalizing the venues and the dates but all of the qualifying legs in Negros Occidental will be this January.”/ASC, WDJ
