At least P1.3 million in cash were lost early Thursday night following a robbery incident in Sagay City’s Barangay Paraiso.
Police identified the victims as 53-year-old Rosalie Toralba and her driver, 27-year-old Rey Parajito, both residents of the said city and employees of the Kabuhayan Multipurpose Cooperative.
Sagay City police said Toralba made a cash withdrawal at a local bank reportedly intended to provide pay for cooperative workers.
Toralba had reportedly just exited her vehicle when they were held at gunpoint by two men, who were later identified by the aliases ‘Toto’ and ‘Kadung.’
The suspects then took Toralba’s bag containing the P1.3 million and fled aboard a motorcycle.
Police are now conducting pursuit operations against the suspects./DGB, WDJ
