Two Iranian nationals were arrested Monday afternoon after they allegedly stole a bundle of money from a bank along V. Gustilo Street in San Carlos City’s Barangay 4.
Police identified the arrested suspects as 41-year-old Ali Shajarat and 41-year-old Mehran Adibeh, both natives of Iran.
Based on information provided by San Carlos City police, the suspects allegedly stole P100,000 in bundled money from 24-year-old Karl Stephen Escobar, an assistant branch manager of a pawnshop.
The suspects, however, were spotted by bank representative, who immediately contacted the San Carlos City police, which resulted in their arrest.
Both suspects face theft charges and are presently detained at the San Carlos City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
