CAAP cancels 23 flights at Bacolod-Silay Aiport

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) canceled 23 flights to and from Bacolod-Silay Airport in Silay City, Negros Occidental yesterday due to inclement weather caused by Typhoon “Tisoy.”

Ofelia Leonardo, information officer of CAAP Bacolod-Silay Airport, said affected are flights of Philippine Airlines, PAL Express, Cebu Pacific Air and Philippines AirAsia.

“We are awaiting updates from (the airline) managers regarding the resumption of flights. Meanwhile, try to contact your airlines for your rebooking priorities,” Leonardo said in a statement posted on the Public Information Office CAAP Bacolod Facebook account yesterday.

Canceled flights are those of Philippine Airlines/PAL Express, including PR2130 (Bacolod-Manila), PR2132 (Bacolod-Manila), PR2133 (Manila-Bacolod), PR2135/PR2136 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), PR2137/2138 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), and PR2331/2332 (Clark-Bacolod-Clark).

Those of Cebu Pacific Air include flights 5J483/484 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), 5J477/478 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), 5J487/488 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), 5J479/480 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), and 5J485/486 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila).

Suspended flights of Philippines AirAsia include Z2 604 (Bacolod- Manila), Z2 605/606 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila), andZ2 607 (Manila- Bacolod). (PNA)
