Philippine Army 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IB) commander, Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo yesterday vowed they will not let the New People’s Army (NPA) celebrate their 51st anniversary which will take place this month.

Arevalosaid the army will continue its operations in hunting down the NPA insurgents following their success in Isabela town and Himamaylan City this week.

“The offensives will continue to prevent them from celebrating their anniversary,” Arevalo said.

The general further stated the NPA has nothing to celebrate, except “51 years of bringing suffering to the Filipino people.”

Arevalo said he has ordered his troops to be on alert at all times and not let the insurgents conduct attacks or any atrocities./DGB, WDJ
