Tay Tung begins national

finals campaign this weekend

Bacolod Tay Tung High School will be representing the Western Visayas in the 2019 Rebisco Volleyball League national finals, which begins this weekend at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
“We are here to gain experience to prepare us for regional tournaments but we will also aim for, at least, a finals appearance or championship, if possible,” Tay Tung assistant coach Roberto Calamba, Jr. said. “We will do our very best to represent the Western Visayas well.”
The Bacolod City school finished in third place last year.
Tay Tung opens their national finals campaign against Iligan City National High School and are scheduled to face Leyte National High School, University of Mindanao-Tagum, along with teams representing Sibu (Malaysia) and Hawaii, later in the tournament./ASC, WDJ

Erika Deloria of Bacolod Tay Tung High School was named “Player of the Games” several times during last year’s Rebisco Volleyball League national finals. The Bacolod City school will be looking to improve from their earlier third place finish as this year’s national finals kick off this weekend.
