Negrense boxer Danny Villafuerte will be looking to extend his unbeaten record when he meets Davaoeño fighter Belmar Plaza as the main event in “Bakbakan sa Kabankalan” next weekend, November 30, at the Kabankalan Catholic College gym.
The Hinoba-an native enters the bout with three victories in as many matches, all of which came via stoppages, and is coming off a technical knockout victory over Christian Jude Capuno last July in Passi City, Iloilo.
Meanwhile, Plaza comes in with a 4-12-3 record, including two knockout wins.
In the undercard bouts, John May Acope of Misamis Oriental meets Cebu City’s Kier Torregosa of Cebu City, while Arvin John Sampaga of Masbate City faces Cebu City’s Steve Noblefranca./ASC, WDJ
