Schröck, Aguinaldo to lead the Azkals

Ceres-Negros FC midfielder Stephan Schröck and defender Amani Aguinaldo, who is currently on loan to Malaysia Premier League club PKNP FC, are set to lead the Philippine men’s national football team, the Azkals, in the upcoming 2019 Southeast Asian Games, which is hosted by the Philippines this year and scheduled to formally run from November 30 to December 11. However, the men’s football event begins this Monday.
Also making up the Azkals roster are goalkeepers Anthony Pinthus and Michael Asong; defenders Justin Baas, Elias Edison Suerti Mordal, Mar Diano, Jordan Jarvis, and Marco Casambre; midfielders Dylan de Bruycker, Christian Rontini, Yrik Gallantes, Pocholo Bugas, Jerome Marzan, Griffin McDaniel, Troy Limbo, and Dennis Chung; and strikers Chima Uzoka, Jarvey Gayoso, and Mariano Suba, Jr.
Meanwhile, AJ Arcilla, Poi Saldivar, Ivan Ouano, JB Borlongan, Dean Ebarle, Jovan Marfiga, and Fritz Brigoli were called up as reserves.
The Philippines kicks off the tournament against Cambodia at 8:00 p.m. at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila. They next face Myanmar and Malaysia later in the week./ASC, WDJ
