According to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), suspected drug group leader Michael Divinagracia has reportedly fled the province. NOPPO director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, said, based on reports he received from intelligence operatives, the drug suspect is believed to be hiding somewhere in the Calabarzon region, possibly Laguna.
Police officials also claimed, despite being on the run, Divinagracia’s drug activities continue to operate in Negros Occidental as he is believed to be supplying illegal drugs through “trusted contacts.”
Recently arrested drug suspects in the province have also pointed to Divinagracia’s drug group as their supplier.
Baleros said, once Divinagracia’s hiding place is traced, they will immediately conduct an operation to capture him.
Last month, Baleros identified Divinagracia’s group as one of seven drug groups currently operating in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
Other drug groups identified by Baleros were the Ramos Drug Group, Bacus Drug Group, Burgos Drug Group, Macundato Drug Group, and Vetusio Drug Group.
The Bacolod City Police Office, meanwhile, did not specifically name the drug group currently operating in the city, although the leader was believed to be a female./DGB, WDJ
