The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod recently passed a resolution calling on law enforcement agencies to conduct an investigation in order to attain an “early resolution” to the case surrounding last week’s murder of Jail Officer 1 Jayvee Jasyon Vargas in the city’s Barangay Cabug last week.
The resolution, authored by City Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., called for the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to probe the incident.
Gamboa said the local legislative body has been calling for resolutions to such crimes committed within the city to be resolved “at the earliest possible time.”
According to city councilor, such “ruthless and senseless acts have horrified and created fear, anxiety, and apprehensions among the people of Bacolod.”/DGB, WDJ
