Hercor College wins

Hercor College won the passerelle division at the 2019 Small Basketeers of the Philippines-Passerelle regional finals over the weekend at the Pototan Astrodome in Pototan, Iloilo. The Roxas City school scored an 88-68 win over Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu to take the title.
Joshua Mainar spearheaded the attacks for Hercor with 19 points, while John Lloyd Ubas chipped in 15 markers, and Eden Aldaba contributed 12.
The two sides remained fairly even throughout the game until Hercor pulled ahead 59-55 in the third quarter before running away in the fourth as they built an 81-66 advantage on a triple by Kent Gaitan.
The regional champions next compete in the national finals, which will take place at home, in Roxas City, Capiz, from November 23 to 24.
Meanwhile, the University of St. La Salle took third place after pulling off a 63-53 win over St. Robert’s International Academy./ASC, WDJ
