The Bacolod Master Sardines and Iloilo United Royals are scheduled to meet tonight, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the ongoing Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at the Valenzuela Astrodome. The Negrense team will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak, while the Iloilo City-based side hopes to prolong the momentum from their 72-67 win over the Navotas Uni-Pak Sardines earlier this week.
The recent additions of Jessie Saitanan, Jess Mar Villahermosa, Benedict Adamos, and Alfren Gayosa have yet to prove effective for Bacolod, who fell 82-76 to the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards last week at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.
In contrast, Richard Escoto, Jasper Parker, and Ryan Arambulo provided Iloilo the necessary boost in their recent win.
