NU sweeps UAAP women’s basketball, advances to finals

Adamson, FEU kickoff semifinals next weekend

National University (NU) sealed their spot in the 82nd UAAP women’s basketball finals after successfully sweeping the elimination round. Following their recent 80-62 victory over the University of the East at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, the school secured a 14-0 record this season.
Jack Animam anchored NU with 13 points, 21 rebounds, five assists, and one block; while Mayu Goto came off the bench with 11 points; and Jeuel Bartolo and Camille Clarin each providing nine points.
“I’m just happy that we accomplished another feat but we’re not finished with our goal, which is to win the championship,” said NU head coach Patrick Aquino. “This streak is nothing without the championship.”
Adamson University and Far Eastern University are set to kick off the semifinals on Sunday, November 10. The winner advances to play the University of Santo Tomas.
