The PetroGazz Angels recently scored a 25-18, 25-21, 25-18 sweep over the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the San Juan Arena.
Jonah Sabete fired off 14 points on 12 attacks for PetroGazz, along with collecting 12 excellent receptions; while Jovielyn Prado supplied a triple-double with 12 markers, 13 excellent digs, and 11 excellent receptions; Cherry Nunag and Stephanie Mercado each contributed nine markers; Chie Saet dished out 13 excellent sets; and Cienne Cruz tallied 14 excellent digs.
“Kung kaya durugin yung kalaban, as in durugin talaga kung kaya, masaya kami kasi nakatuntong kami dito as a team talaga (If we can crush our opponent, as in really crush them, we are happy because it really helps us as a team),” said Sabete. “Hindi kami [nag-rely] sa isang tao lang, tulungan kami lahat (We are not relying on one person, everybody is helping).”
“Instead na maging complacent, naging inspiration pa namin na pasok na kami kailangan pa namin (Instead of becoming complacent, the need to advance became an inspiration for us),” she added. “Dagdagan pa yung lakas and yung pagiging consistent sa game para sa next game namin tuloy tuloy pa rin (It will prolong our added strength and consistency for the next game).”ASC,WDJ
